Only You

There are certain things in life that only you can do. There are others however that can be easily delegated. I tend to remind myself of this every now and again. For some reason, we women want to do everything and more. Our To-Do list is full and yet, every time someone comes to us with some new project or idea to add to that list, we quickly say 'why not!' And there we go again, another item we'll hardly have time to get to within a week.

Here's a list of things ONLY YOU can do:

* Take care of your health - eat right, exercise, and take good care of your body are usually the last things in our To Do lists, change that pattern, make it number one. After all, if you're sick, how will you ever get to the remaining items in that list?

* Take care of your spiritual life - pray, read the Bible, and keep your heart clean are the kind of things that can easily be passed on to the next day, week, month, year and when it's too late to do anything about it... people fall into sin every single minute for this reason. Be smarter than that.

* Give of yourself - nobody can give for you. If you keep on waiting to receive in order to give to others, you can lie down and wait for death. Always ask yourself this question: how can I give more of myself today? this way, you'll always be giving and you'll always be receiving. It's a great way to live!

* Be yourself - only you can do that so why keep on trying to be someone else? Do people buy the same pair of shoes twice? No way! I hate replicas, I hate knowing that I don't have the real thing... it's either the original or nothing!

* Be responsible - whatever post you've been given by life, do it well. If you're a mother, daughter, employee, wife, homemaker, or student, know this: only you can do those well so why waste time?

Put those first then do the rest.

It's interesting that God said we should keep our bodies and hearts clean. I will dwell on these words you have said.

And it's funny that no one can do the things you yourself need to do, you have to do it.
